NWRB-ACO is a branch of the Architectural Conservancy of Ontario (ACO), a charitable organization established in 1933, whose mission is “to encourage the conservation and re-use of structures, districts and landscapes of architectural, historic and cultural significance”. The North Waterloo Region Branch (NWRB) serves the cities of Waterloo and Kitchener, and the Townships of Woolwich, Wilmot and Wellesley. NWRB-ACO is especially interested in showing how preserving heritage benefits the environment. “The greenest building is the one already built.”
