About Us
A Balanced Approach is a team of highly trained professionals, BCBAs and RBTs with over 25 years of combined experience with children on the autism spectrum.
Our goal is to help children with autism spectrum disorders reach their full potential. To achieve this goal, we use the principles of applied behaviour analysis (ABA) to create individualized home based programs tailored to the specific needs of each child.
In addition to our ABA treatment programs we also offer parent training, assessments and support during school meetings. Our programs are implemented by our dedicated instructor therapists (RBTs) and overseen by our Senior Clinician and Senior Therapist (on-site BCBA).
Our team consists of Kathie Shaw, B.C.B.A., MSW, RSW, founder and Clinical Supervisor, along with our qualified Senior Clinician, Shauna Pavone, B.A and Senior Therapist, Samantha Shipley, MADS, BCBA
